Tinubu, Shettima State House Operations, State House Headquarters To Spend N723Million On Foodstuffs In 2025

According to the document, the state house headquarters plans to spend N177 million on foodstuffs and catering materials supplies. The President’s office (State House operations) is expected to spend N375 million on foodstuffs and catering materials supplies while the Vice President’s office (State House operations) plans to spend N171 million the same things, totalling N723 million.

Other expenditures listed include N2.1 billion for honorarium and sitting allowances for state house headquarters, N150 million for refreshment and meals for state house headquarters.

A review of the 2025 proposed budget has shown that the sum of N723 million is earmarked to be spent by President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima State House Operations and the State House Headquarters on foodstuffs in the year.

The office of the President plans to spend N56 million on refreshments and meals, another N65 million is planned for honorarium and sitting allowance.

In the Vice President’s office, the sum of N21.8 million is planned for honorarium and sitting allowance, N14.9 million is proposed to be spent on refreshments and meals.

A sum of N15.81 trillion is expected to be spent on debt servicing alone in 2025.

These expenditures come at a time where there are calls for prudence in the management of government resources as Nigeria continues to battle poor revenue, leading to reliance on loans.
